INTILION as system partner for the world’s largest battery manufacturer CATL

A win-win situation for both groups

In the HOPPECKE Group, INTILION is the specialist for the development, production and project planning of lithium-ion battery systems for railway and metro applications, commercial and large-scale storage and industrial truck applications. With its globally active subsidiaries and more than 300 service engineers in Europe, HOPPECKE is ideally positioned with INTILION for the battery manufacturer CATL in terms of Europe-wide presence and experience in battery service. By cooperating with CATL, INTILION gains an important strategic partner for the procurement of high-quality lithium-ion cells and strengthens its development and production site in Zwickau. Access to the best quality automotive cells and their cost scaling effect gives INTILION almost unlimited possibilities for industrial applications. By using the standard components from the battery manufacturer CATL, INTILION can fulfil specific customer requirements much faster and bring them into series production.

With the development of marketable and future-oriented energy storage solutions, HOPPECKE and INTILION make an important contribution to solving the social challenges arising from the implementation of global climate protection goals, the energy revolution and increasing digitalisation. With its head office in Brilon and a total of 23 subsidiaries, the family-owned company employs more than 2,000 staff and generates a turnover of over 400 million euros. Today the HOPPECKE Group is the largest privately owned European manufacturer of industrial batteries.
