Paderborn, 5 March 2025. Energy storage integrator INTILION from Paderborn is launching a new battery storage solution for asset owners in the field of renewable energies, utilities, municipal utilities, project developers and industrial companies with the INTILION | scalepac. The system is available with a capacity of one to four megawatt hours and fits into the INTILION large storage portfolio for any front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter applications. The proven control unit INTILION | Application Unit (IAU) ensures the optimal integration of the system. “With the INTILION | scalepac, we are responding to the dynamic developments in the market. As a specialist in large storage systems, we are expanding our capacity range in the lower megawatt segment to meet the growing demands for system sizes and the increasing variety of applications,” explains Product Manager Arne Finger.

Quick and space-saving installation
The all-in-one battery storage consists of four battery units, in which all system components from the battery to the inverter to the air conditioning system are combined in a space-saving manner in each housing. It has a system efficiency of over 90 per-cent and can undergo more than 6,000 charge and discharge cycles. Thanks to its modular design, the system can be expand-ed at any time. The INTILION | scalepac is corrosion-resistant and withstands the most demanding weather conditions. A multi-stage fire protection system and 24/7 monitoring via the INTILION Cloud guarantee maximum safety.
Battery storage as a business model
The heart of the battery storage solution is the control unit IAU. It enables participation in the spot and balancing power markets. The INTILION | scalepac can be used as a lucrative business model with multi-market optimisation. Commercial and industrial companies have various applications for operational optimisation. “By relocating production, companies can free up powerful grid connections. These can be ideally used for battery storage,” explains Arne Finger.
