Public charging park with energy storage for 20 electric vehicles
At the first public charging park in Bad Lippspringe, located in the industrial area ‘Kalli-Gaulke-Weg,’ up to 20 electric cars can be charged simultaneously. The municipal service provider Ladeservice Westfalen Weser, together with business owner Heinz Römmich, have established the infrastructure, which includes two INTILION | scaleblocs for energy storage. The battery storage is sufficient for fully charging approximately three compact electric vehicles. What makes this project special is the integration of generation, storage, and distribution of charging power in one location.

Fast problem solution
The energy management system interconnects and controls all components. One challenge was the seamless integration of all elements of the charging park into the system, particularly regarding the metrological connection of the transformer station and meeting the requirements of the grid operator. The delayed delivery of the transformer station also resulted in a tight schedule during the construction phase, as the commissioning of the charging park had to be completed by 2023 due to funding conditions. However, these challenges were overcome through outstanding teamwork during the joint project implementation and construction with Römmich GmbH, other departments within the Westfalen Weser Group, and all suppliers. This ensured successful commissioning. The charging park has been officially open since February, providing customers with a convenient opportunity to combine charging with other activities due to its proximity to shopping facilities.

Regional solidarity through joint projects
Due to the close proximity of all project stakeholders, a strong bond was formed, facilitating rapid communication. Closeness to Westfalen Weser is further reinforced by additional storage projects, of which we are proud, highlighting our local roots.
"We are currently implementing several projects with INTILION storage systems, and we value, among other things, the local connection, short distances, and excellent support, even with complex development issues."
