The VDV-Elektrobuskonferenz on March 16 and 17, 2021, which was held in digital format for the first time, makes it clear that electric buses play an essential role in achieving climate protection goals. Thus, environmentally friendly mobility remains one of the central topics for the future, despite Corona.
This year’s special focus was on the topics of political and social framework conditions, sector coupling and hydrogen, depot design, energy supply and charge management, as well as battery development and battery handling.
The various reports on the experiences of different companies on the topics brought further essential added value for the total of 509 participants at the event.
Furthermore, many interesting areas with enormous development potential were discussed. These included the current status of components, systems, electric buses and components for the charging infrastructure. Further information was provided on the topics of consulting support and software for depot and charging management.
For our colleagues Thomas Cloidt and Matthias Büter from INTILION GmbH, the days at the VDV-Elektrobuskonferenz were an absolute highlight. We are particularly pleased that we were able to present our cooperation with Stromnetze Hamburg and a novelty in the field of the charging column backend system “eRound”. INTILION is the first battery storage manufacturer to be integrated into the IT backend in order to drive the expansion of the charging infrastructure in a grid-supporting manner. By integrating our battery storage systems, Stromnetz Hamburg is relying on intelligent solutions instead of more copper cables in the ground. In this way, we can continue to drive the advancing electromobility.
