Vision of an all-electric society

In Blomberg, the vision of an all-electric society is becoming reality: Phoenix Contact has opened the All Electric Society (AES) Park there. The energy system of the future can be experienced on around 7,800 square meters. The supplier of components and systems in the field of electrical engineering, electronics and automation demonstrates clearly how renewable energies can be generated, converted, stored, distributed and used efficiently.

The energy source of the all-electric world is renewable energy, which is generated in Blomberg by around 550 photovoltaic modules and a windtree. We have installed our scalecube large-scale storage system with a capacity of 1.2 megawatt hours at the AES Park.
The large-scale storage system not only ensures that the renewable electricity is used more efficiently, but also caps peak loads and supports the grid connection as a grid booster when several electric cars are charging at the park's charging points. The energy generators, storage units and consumers are connected to the medium-voltage grid via a local substation. An energy management system controls the optimum energy flow between the individual components.
Information cubes provide information about the respective applications.

The site is freely accessible and can be visited at any time. The All Electric Pavilion and the information cubes are open from Monday to Sunday from 07:00 to 21:00. You should allow 60 to 90 minutes for the visit.
